Please add me to your mailing list, so that we here @ Mariposa Office can be up-to-date on accurate information pertaining to both Banners and Guitars on Parade.
When I do ticket sales, via mail – I like to point out highlights that will be preceding Festival to those folks within a certain area, especially those who are reasonably close (i.e: Barrie/Gravenhurst/Midland, etc) who normally wouldn’t come to Orillia ahead of Festival, but might just to see The Banners and/or Guitars and visit downtown.
Thanx
Bernie
Bernie, I’ll forward your email to the SA chair. Guitars on Parade was such a brilliant idea and execution. Both the Banners & Guitars added so much joy & colour to the street. I keep wondering — what will the creative mind that thought those up do for an encore? Anyway, congratulations on a unique & fabulous celebration of art. I’m sure projects like this make Orillia a “Go See” destination. Can’t wait to see what the next one will be!
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, Sara. It’s great to share in such enthusiasm. Stay tuned for the next Streets Alive project. Once it is officially announced, a note about it will appear here on this site as well as on our Facebook page.
The project ends after the Thanksgiving weekend, when sailboats will be claimed by their sponsors. Sculptures sponsored by groups can be purchased throughout the exhibit — see the plaques in the boat hulls to see which are available. Proceeds support the Streets Alive! organization in its ongoing work to promote Orillia as a premiere destination for aficionados of outdoor art.
Does anybody know artist Sean Lockman. His artwork titled Marine Menagerie on the saiboat is awesome. Please call me with any info. (705) 323-9504, mkos11@rogers.com

Thanks for your help in spreading the SA word!
Where do people pickup your wonderful Guitars on Parade Souvenir Guidebook? It is well done and I would like to get some to hand out.
Thank you
Jeanne
Hi Jeanne. Thanks for the compliments! It is available for $2 at Jack & Maddy, Manticore Books, Cottage Road and other downtown Orillia shops.

Are the boats going to be for sale?
