Read all about it

The June 18 kickoff of the 2016 Streets Alive outdoor art project, ‘Story Poles,’ was a huge success. Visitors were able to check out the sculptures firsthand and chat to the artists while taking in a variety of musical performances and interactive activities in Orillia’s downtown core.

The Story Pole sculptures will be on display in downtown Orillia until Thanksgiving weekend. We encourage you to take a stroll to check them out, then cast your vote for your top three favourites. A $10,000 award is the top prize up for grabs!

Voting ballots are available at Jack & Maddy – A Kids’ Store (143 Mississaga Street East), the Orillia Museum of Art & History (30 Peter Street South), and Carousel Collectables (27 Mississaga Street West). Don’t forget to pick up our beautiful souvenir guidebook at these locations as well. It’s only $2 and supports next year’s Streets Alive project.

The top three winners of the Story Pole project will be announced August 21 at 8 pm on Peter Street South during the wonderful Starry Night Studio & Gallery Tour. Please join us for the celebration.
